NCAA Finals - Huskies or Wildcats?

4/6/2014

Who Will Win Monday Night, Kentucky or uConn?

We had a couple of great games on Saturday.   Florida lost to uConn, and Wisconsin lost to Kentucky.  To the finals matchup on Monday night will be between the Kentucky Wildcats, and the Connecticut Huskies.

Who do you prefer?

We like the Huskies, partly because the Wildcats seem to be more one-dimensional.  That is why they had a fair amount of losses during the year.  They slash to the basket well, but that kind of aggressiveness seems to cover up for weakness in other parts of their game, such as outside shooting.  But they do seem to shoot the 3 under pressure quite well.
The Huskies have more experience but that seems to be less and less of a factor, as these Wildcats have really matured as the tournament has progressed.

The game will be televised live on CBS, Monday night at 6pm PST.  Bring your laptop or tablet and have our home page up, so you can participate in the Live, GLOBAL chat during the game!

You can find out more about the NCAA finals at the the NCAA Website.

Live Sports Webcasting

New Service Being Developed: College & High School Football Games Live Webcasting

We have found there are lot of college football games, and even more high school football games, that are not on TV - but are being filmed.  If these games were to be shown live, on the net, the fans would really benefit.

This is called Webcasting: the live broadcast of media.  It can be video, audio, or both.  Webcasting is a common feature now on the internet, and we want to see this expanded to include more sporting events.

Our service is being developed.  If we find enough existing webcasting out there, we might just do a directory.  If there is a need though for webcasting services, we might offer our own solution for anyone to webcast a game.

If you know of existing webcasting sites for college and/or high school football, or for any sport actually, then please email us.  Please remember we are only looking for legal content; if a website is webcasting a college game that is also being shown somewhere else, in a legal agreement, then we cannot include that site in our directory.

LiveSports Commentary on GameDayLive.com

10/5/2013

How Live Sports at GameDayLive Works

GameDayLive.com is based on Twitter feeds.

We bring you fan comments about livesports.  So we search out all the Tweets, globally, that relate to the game being played today.

If there is a big NFL game on, then a lot of people are talking about it.   They hopefully will include a word in their Tweet like Football or #Football, or NFL or #NFL.  If they do then we will include that Tweet in our NFL feed.

The display updates very 30 seconds.  We would like that to be more frequent and are working on it.  We would also like to include live commentary from people on Facebook, once Facebook makes that available.

If there are things related to live sports that you want to see here, please send us a note.

GameDayLive.com Launch is Successful

10/1/2013

Live Chats From Around the Word

GameDayLive.com has had a successful launch, as the NFL season is unfolding.  We present live chats for all major sports.

These chats are particularly interesting (and busy) during live games.

All the comments you see are live; there is a periodic automatic refresh, so you do not have to click or do anything; the screen refreshes automatically!

At the top of each chat there is a "Reply" button, so you can put your own comments into the chat.  When you do, everyone who is viewing GameDayLive.com, the world over, will see your chat.

Just pick the sport you are interested in at the top, and off you go!   If you want to join into the busiest of all the chats, choose 'All' at the top - it is a combination of all the sports, in one busy chat window.

If you have any ideas or questions about the site, then Contact Us.  We are also looking for advertisers, for partners, for more web plugins that have live, social content, and finally we are looking for bloggers.  In fact we are going to expand our blog section to not only have our own blog, but a directory of all Live Blogs on the net - so if you know of any live blogs, that are active during games then please send us a note right away!

How to watch Sports: Use a Tablet with that Big Screen TV!

9/24/2013

Tablets are now the Sports Companion

Tablets are cool.

And useful - with the game on your Big Screen TV, you can use your tablet to see the live fan comments on our site.  You can also use your browser to see scores, odds, do some Fantasy Sports, or even watch some other game.

Tablets are fun because they are easy to hand around the room, so everyone can check it out.

You can also have a video game running on a tablet, same sport as the big game on the TV.

Do you own a nice tablet?  Its better to get the full size ones, not the mini size.

Click here to get a good deal on a nice new tablet, you will have it in a few days - in time for the next game!

Live fan comments, on all Major Sports

9/23/2013

We Cover all the Top Sports

We have live streaming comments for MLB Baseball, NFL Football, NBA Basketball, NHL Hockey, and for Soccer.  Other sports could be added if there is an interest - so please contact us.  We are also considering adding custom streams, where you could specify a series of terms and they would all be put into one stream.  We are looking for ideas for how to expand our site too.  We will not support gambling but almost anything else goes.

If you have a lot of friends over, to see a game, what else would you want to see?   What kind of video might make things more interesting?

If you own a bar, what can we do that can help you improve the experience of your customers?

We are also looking for advertisers - if you want your banner on one of our pages, lets talk.

Please contact us with any ideas or suggestions, thanks!
